Training
The success of any initial training has a direct impact on the ramp up period in meeting a client's expectations; minimizing initial attrition of our People and ensuring a successful launch of a new program. OLS is committed to working with you to ensure that this critical phase of a program launch is allocated the right resources and time to ensure success.
Initial training within each program generally consists of instructor-led training, On the Job Training (OJT) and Academy Bay based training. Many of our clients also utilize Train the Trainer methodology to expedite the transfer of information to our People for on-going training.
Our recommended classroom size is 15 - 25 People per class. Based on our experience we feel that classes of this size are ideal for OLS trainers to provide the right amount of individual attention to new hires and ensure that the training is effective. Our trainer to agent ratio in the classroom is normally 1:15, but this may vary depending on the client's requirements.
OLS has specific training teams and Subject Matter Experts (SME's) dedicated to many of our clients. These People have completed their relevant training for each of their programs and have achieved certification based on each client's requirements. These individuals focus on their specific programs for new hire classes, continuous training requirements and on-going education needs.
OLS also uses Academy Bay based training if required by a client. After initial classroom based training, the training team and new agents move out into our live environment. Depending on the program, the Academy Bay training can range from 1-4 weeks.
For any on-going education, OLS works hand in hand with our clients to ensure that additional program information is communicated effectively and efficiently. Every program has a pre-defined amount of time built in on a monthly basis for all of our People to get upgrade/new training as part of our standard program management. This built in training time is defined by client and normally range from 1-4 hours a month for each agent.
